That time I drew Lois and Superman for an actual Superman comic. ♥ Colors by Jordie!
Those fine folks at Comic Book Resources have the exclusive preview of Adventures of Superman #46 (out on Monday for only $0.99) drawn by mingdoyle (doing KamandI!), brentschoonover (doing 1939 Superman!) and written by that Joe Keatinge guy.
It’s the first of three parts. Part two features more Ming Doyle Kamandi with a 2013 Superman drawn by David Williams and Al Gordon. Part three features 1926 Clark Kent drawn by tulalotaycomics and jasonshawnalexander drawing Superman at the end of all time.
All under a cover by Jon Bogdanove, responsible for one of my favorite Superman comics of all time.
Out weekly, starting on Monday, March 10th!
My first DC work, I’m just over the moon excited about this. You’d buy that for a dollar, right?! :D

#3 - Mara
Thank you so much! :)
Quantum and Woody #6 is out today! Buckle up, my sweet babies.
As announced at Baltimore Comic-Con this past weekend, I’ll be taking up art duties on Valiant’s acclaimed “Quantum and Woody" relaunch after amazing wizard of ink and time Tom Fowler's final issue, #4. My arc will run from issues #5-8!
I’m so excited to join editor Alejandro Arbona, writer James Asmus, and my heart’s dear collaborator Jordie Bellaire on this action-packed tragicomedic title! Here’s my first illustration for the series (colored by Jordie, of course). Quantum! Woody! GOAT!
The final issue is going to Image this week, and on shelves later this month sometime (I’ll update when I know). I love this issue… for the whole series we’ve seen a rather external view of Mara’s changes, in that she’s not really talked much about it in her own words. This final issue does that and more, and I think it has tremendous impact.
I loved creating this with mingdoyle and @jordiecolorsthings, and Clayton Cowles who’s lettering and working with me on the collection design. All great talents, great friends, people I WILL work with again soon. This oddball, under-the-radar story I think sits right up there with the likes of Demo, Local, and even my X-Men stuff. I thank everyone who’s supported the book, and those who’ll pick up the trade when its out.
From start to finish, it’s been a privilege and a true pleasure to work with Brian Wood and Jordie Bellaire on Mara. Thanks guys! Excited for her last issue to go on shelves soon, but I’ll be sad to see her go. ♥

Everything’s on the table as far as the military’s position on Mara, but who’s the one with the nuclear option? How much power can one woman hold before the world says “enough”?
Mara #4 is out today! Pick it up in your local comic shop or online at comiXology!
The military is keen to co-opt Mara, now that her abilities are maturing, and they aren’t above using her soldier brother to convince her. They offer to “accept” her again, and she rightly rejects it for the crap that it is. Cut off not only from friends and family, but now from her country, where can she go now? Brian, Ming, and Jordie raise the stakes.
Make us proud.
Another beautiful photoset from MARA #1! Getting excited for #3 to come out this Wednesday, hope you guys like it! :)
